This was the second of many community wildlife webinars organised for the Wild About Devon initiative.
In this webinar we were joined by Sarah Jennings, Devon County Council’s County Ecologist, Rachel Tuckett, DCC’s Planning Officer, and Tom Whitlock, DCC’s Ecologist.
We need to ensure that all development results in a net gain for wildlife and that we are creating new communities which are rich in wildlife. Rachel provided an introduction to local plans and development management, and Tom introduced wildlife and planning – policy, legislation, species and habitats. There was time for questions and comments throughout, using the chat function.
